Brandy hands champions victory

Febian Brandy ensured Swansea finished the season on a high after his solitary strike gave the League One champions a 1-0 win at Brighton.Brandy, on loan from Manchester United, scored with 12 minutes left after both sides had created a host of chances in an open and entertaining game.

In the first half, Jason Scotland, Thomas Butler and Paul Anderson all went close for the visitors, while at the other end Dean Cox, Nicky Forster and Glenn Murray had chances, but Swans goalkeeper Dorus De Vries was on form.

Swansea's persistence paid off when Brandy latched on to Shaun MacDonald's cross to slot home from six yards.

For the Swans, the celebrations continued after the final whistle as Roberto Martinez' side were presented with the championship trophy.
