Roberto Mancini claims his Inter Milan team will be more relaxed than AC Milan when the rivals meet in a pivotal derby on Sunday afternoon. The Nerazzurri are trying to put the finishing touches on a third successive Scudetto-winning campaign - something that will happen if they win at the San Siro since only two more rounds remain after this weekend.
Even if Inter lose, they still may win the title if Roma - who are six points behind - fail to at least get a draw in their game at Sampdoria.
Milan are battling just to make it into the top four in order to reach next season's Champions League.
"The pressure will be on AC Milan as they have to win," said Mancini at Saturday's press conference.
"A derby is different from other games and this one is crucial especially for Milan.
"We need to go out on the pitch to win and take three points as we have always tried to do.
"We are favourites because we have won three consecutive derbies and because we are first in the standings but the derby is the derby and you never know what can happen."
If Inter can win, it will mark the first time either side has clinched the title with a triumph in the derby.
"We will not be the team to take away the Scudetto from Inter but what we will try to do is to postpone their celebrations," said AC Milan playmaker Kaka.
The Rossoneri go into the contest feeling much better about their chances of qualifying for Europe's elite club competition after scoring nine goals in their last two encounters.
Knowing Milan have been in such good form, Mancini does not appear entirely convinced Inter will seal the title this weekend.
"In order to beat Milan we have to play with a cool head and balance," Mancini said.
One thing both coaches agree on is that this game is more important to the Rossoneri than to the Nerazzurri.
"For us this derby is more important than it is for Inter," said coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"We are determined to play next season in the Champions League. It's a competition that has always given us great satisfaction and for us and for the club it's crucial to be there next year.
"A victory in the derby could be sufficient to achieve our aim."
Milan go into the encounter trailing two points behind Fiorentina, who hold the last Champions League qualifying spot.
The player Inter will be most wary of is Filippo Inzaghi. The veteran forward has been prolific in front of goal, scoring eight times in four games.
As for his own team, Mancini's main dilemma is who will partner Julio Cruz up front, with Hernan Crespo and Mario Balotelli in contention for a starting place.
Inter are still without their top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic because of a knee injury while midfielder Dejan Stankovic is a big uncertainty with a muscular problem picked up in Saturday's training session.
Ancelotti insists his players will not take Inter lightly despite the absence of the influential Ibrahimovic.
"It's true they will be without their most important player, Ibrahimovic, but they have other players that can make the difference," he said.
"We will have to be extremely careful because they are very good at dead-ball situations.
"But right now we are in great form and that is our strongest weapon going into this derby."
Milan will be without captain Paolo Maldini and Massimo Oddo, both unavailable through injury.
