Rotherham manager Mark Robins will not let the final-day 1-0 defeat to Exeter take anything away from the Millers` "magnificent" season.
Such has been their achievement this year, many people have forgotten that Robins` men began the season on minus 17 points and have been forced to play in Sheffield - and had it not been for that deduction, Rotherham would actually have finished in fifth place.
"It was a disappointing way to end the season, but from our point of view it has been a magnificent season after the start we had and all the problems we faced," said Robins.
"We came through them all with flying colours, and now we can look forward to a break before starting again next season."
Robins also praised Exeter and claimed they deserved their win and added: "Congratulations to them, I thought they were outstanding. They passed it better than us, they were going for promotion and it looked like it."
