Swindon boss Maurice Malpas has revealed he has made enquiries about several Bristol City players, including winger Scott Murray. The 34-year-old is out of contract with this season's Championship play-off runners-up and, although Robins boss Gary Johnson has offered him a new deal to stay at Ashton Gate, Malpas has not given up hope of luring the veteran to the County Ground.
"I have spoken to Bristol City about one or two of their players and Scott Murray is one of them," Malpas told the Swindon Advertiser. "He has been offered another year at Bristol though as far as I am aware, so that might end that.
"He is away on his holidays so I will just be keeping in touch with that one.
"It would be ideal if we could get players with some Championship experience in.
"Scott Murray does fit the bill on that one but it is more important they can do a job for us."
