Preston midfielder Richard Chaplow insists he is fighting fit after a nightmare end to last season.
The former Burnley and West Brom playmaker tore a hamstring against Nottingham Forest on March 3 and was sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.
He missed North End's dramatic late surge into the play-offs, where they lost 2-1 on aggregate to Sheffield United at the semi-final stage.
Chaplow told the club's official website: "Nobody likes to be injured but I am feeling a little bit better now.
"I actually managed to get a training session in on the day before the second-leg of the play-offs and that means that I am fighting fit to come back for next season.
"Fingers crossed I can get a lot of work done in the summer, come back fit and go again."
