Burnley manager Owen Coyle has revealed he is hoping to bring more new players to the club before the start of the season.

Coyle has so far brought in record signing Martin Paterson, midfielder Kevin McDonald, goalkeeper Diego Penny and left-back Christian Kalvenes.

He has distanced himself from a new move for Celtic striker Derek Riordan but acknowledged that more new arrivals are set to follow.

Coyle said: "Obviously I'm delighted with the players we've brought in - every one of them - because all four of them bring something different to the squad.

"But you speak to any manager and they're always looking to bring in more players and hopefully we'll have another two or three in place before the season starts."
