Bundesliga - Ribery: Real Madrid or nothing

Eurosport - Fri, 03 Jul 07:25:00 2009

Franck Ribery has confirmed he wants to leave Bayern Munich - but only to join Real Madrid.

FOOTBALL Franck Ribery Bayern Munich 2009 - 0

Ribery's compatriot Karim Benzema has already agreed to join the Spanish giants from Lyon and become Real's third major signing after Brazil's Kaka and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I have made up my mind, I want to leave," Ribery told L'Equipe. "It will be Real (Madrid) or nothing."

Bayern officials have repeatedly said the 26-year-old Ribery, who joined them in 2007 from Marseille, was not for sale.

  3. Man utd are like an old OAK tree in an English field, tall and strong with deep roots and wide branches. The tree is taller and stronger than the others around it because it has been through good as well as harsh times which has both toughened and nourished it to make it stronger, resilient and majestic.
Madrid however is like a grown oak tree that has been re-planted in the desert. This tree cost a fortune to buy and plant and needs constant watering and attention to keep it alive costing ever more bucket loads of cash. However because the tree is in a false location after a year it begins to wilt requiring ever more bucket loads of cash to stop it withering. About the second year the has wilted and starts to die. \A new tree is sought to replace this one and so it goes on ad infinitum.

Moral is that you cannot buy class, tradition or respect these are all part of maintaining continuity and being in touch with your environment.

  8. Football has brought society to its knees. Its a field of no rules and laws. Its a really bad influence on the youths.

You can not signed a 5 year contratc then 2 years later you are saying things like "I have already made my mind to leave" before reaching an agreement with the other person u entered the contratc with.

Just like Ronaldo, who re-sign for MU last year for another 4 years extension on his contract then this year get up to say "He made his mind you leave last year". That was before re-newing his contract.

  11. Funny how united fans attitude has changed. When THEY were shelling out 30 million for berbatoff, 18 million for ferdinand, so many million for rooney, veron, hargreaves etc etc when THOSE amounts were considered outrageous they hadn't a problem with it - now they're like kids who're throwing their toys out of their prams - poor little mites!!!!

It seems everyone wants to go to Madrid and well to be honest with the Government bankrolling the club its only a matter of time when Madrid and the Government go into a crisis....

Its not like before when the Original Galacticos were on board they were paid much less compared to what is being paid now....

In all honesty this is not good for football in general who's next??

    Walcott for 50million quid??...

  17. Man U is just looking at the prices go up and Madrid buying no long-term solutions. They will hire a kid who no one has ever hear from and he will be better than Ronaldo. OR they will wait half season when Madrid declare in bankruptcy after being last on the table and buy stars for cents
