Hamilton: No upgrades in Germany

British ace Lewis Hamilton said McLaren are not expecting any upgrades for the next race at the Nurburgring in Germany.
Hamilton goes into the German Grand Prix - rotating back to the Nurburgring after it was held at Hockenheim last year - 11th in the World Championship, with the MP4-24 failing to match up to some of the other challengers, most notably the Brawn of compatriot Jenson Button.
He has finished 16th, 13th and 12th in his last three races.
"The last time we raced at the Nurburgring was in 2007, and I remember I had a tough afternoon battling through from the back of the field to finish just outside the points," he said.
"It's a fantastic circuit, a little older than a lot of the current tracks we currently visit and with quite a different feel to what we're used to: it's fast and flowing with some good spots for overtaking.
"And it's in a fantastic part of the world too; deep in the forests of western Germany, where the fans seem to live and breathe Formula One. It's always an amazing party atmosphere whenever we race in Germany.
"While we aren't expecting any major upgrades for this weekend, I'm still looking forward to the race.
"It's an honour to be part of the Silver Arrows and, while our results haven't recently shown it, we're still pushing incredibly hard and are all hopeful of moving closer to the front before the end of this difficult season."
The race will mark the end of the traditional mid-season three-week break for testing - although with in-season testing banned, none of the teams have been able to get on track.
Hamilton was runner-up to Kimi Raikkonen in the 2007 season but bounced back in 2008, pipping Felipe Massa to the title.

Touronroute you are a bit like marnio, another free wireless seeking gypsy. Touron we thumb you down because we don't like you and the cloud cuckoo land garbage you post. If I see one of your posts appear then I don't read it I just thumb it down, there is no point in reading any of your posts. speed M you can in no compare Hamilton to button, for a start they are friends so there is no point trying to drive a wedge between them, secondly regarding mistakes, that is just buttons experience, had Hamilton had that and an uncorrupt fia he would have been champion in his first year, thirdly Hamilton was already world champ at 23, something schumacher, Alonso, button, kimi, and every other driver already failed at doing. If your good enough your old enough was the attitude of Mclaren, and he certainly repayed then tenfold. If the FIA hadn't imposed the biggest tech change in 20 years we all know Hamilton would be champion again, but then he will race much longer than this current FIA or even max and bernie will be alive, so he only needs six more titles. See ya in 2015.

Adrian he surely is one hell of a muppet.
i think this year is so funny, hamilton not got that smug look on hes face this year has he, i really dont see why you all think hes so good, he only won by the skin of hes teeth last year didnt he, not as if he ran away with the lead.
there are drivers on the grid just as good as him, some even better but dont have a good car to prove it.
button has proven that hes just as good as lewis given the right car, and button doesnt make as near as many mistakes as lewis has.
lewis is good but i dont think hes the best, not as good a shuey used to be, nor do i think lewis will win as many titles as shuey.
i dont think its just upgrades they need, lewis's team mate seem to be doing better in the same car.
lewis may never win a title again, this could be the slippery road back to the mid field for the team.

Derbert I don't think touronroute ever matured into an adult, just about all of his insults are from the playground. Remember this is a 69 year old man, albeit one that has never achieved anything in life. Very sad.
