The Association of Surfing Professionals Mr Price Pro Bollito has been kicking up some epic conditions down in South Africa this week, with two metre waves barrelling their way along the Ballito coastline.

Following a strong performance in his second round heat, former World Tour competitor Richard Winter failed to make it through to the next round, going out to two of the best surfers in the series, Daniel Ross and Alejo Muniz. Up-and-coming French star Joan Duru joined Winter back on the beach, eventually going out to Matt Wilkinson and Austin Ware.

The pumping conditions played host to some outstanding performances, with Dylan Graves racking up a 9.67 wave score out of a possible 10 and local hero Dale Staples nailing a perfect 10 out of a possible 10.

The high standard continued into the next round of the competition, with South Africans Dave Richards and Royden Bryson advancing into the Round of 48. Richards powerful display, which combined an off the top and barrel ride sequence, set the precedent for the remaining South African contenders with six surfers moving into day four of competition. The solid wave conditions of the previous day were however, absent as tricky surf offered up meagre 1 meter waves which strongly influenced results.
