Blades fans inspire Blackwell

Fri 03 Jul, 11:55 AM

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell believes fan power at Bramall Lane can help inspire his side to win promotion to the Barclays Premier League this season.

The Blades fell at the final hurdle last term, losing 1-0 to Burnley in the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final, but Blackwell says an intimidating home crowd can work in their favour.

"The fans have a massive part to play in what we are trying to achieve," he said.

"The more we can get through the gate the better because they really can make a massive difference."
