Leeds have signed former Cheltenham goalkeeper Shane Higgs on a one-year deal.
The 32-year-old, who enjoyed 10 years with the Robins, spent the second half of last season on loan at Wolves.
His move to Molineux helped ease the pressure on Cheltenham's wage bill although he failed to make a first-team appearance for the Championship title winners.
United manager Simon Grayson told Leeds' official website: "Shane is a very experienced goalkeeper and he ended last season on loan at Wolves, who held him in very high regard.
"He's desperate to make an impression and has the hunger and the desire to succeed at this football club. He is another player who we've signed, and are looking to sign, who has the experience of this division and the know-how to help us achieve our goal of promotion."
Higgs will provide healthy competition for Casper Ankergren and Alan Martin.

It's no wonder i drink so much-get depressed everytime i come to Leeds news page. Even our official site doesn't do much to inspire me-Another pint please!
oh dear oh dear, one for the future eh! i think grayson wished he could have stayed in blackpool!
yup the fukin krankies just come on a free. bates said we need new blood.
Especially "Money Bags" Huddersfield Town. They clearly are a bigger team than us, not only can they afford to sell season tickets at £100 a pop, they can actually afford to splash out a few hundren K on a player! ooooh i forgot what that feels like, Leeds fans can only dream!
Looks like Casper is the best we can hope for. Poor Grayson, i bet he never dreamed that he'd have more money to spend at Blackpool than he does at Leeds. Looks like the Leeds board have found their peak, they're not fit to run a Kebab shop never mind a League One club. I bet the other teams in League one are laughing at us.
i give up, we are going nowhere. ken dodd as our new center forward.
