Ian Morris has joined Kevan Hurst and Joe Murphy in signing a new contract at Scunthorpe.
The 22-year-old utility man's time at Glanford Park appeared to be up when he was loaned out to Carlisle last seaso, but he has now returned to the club to sign a new two-year deal.
Hurst and Murphy both committed their futures to the Iron on Thursday and the trio could soon be joined at the club by York striker Adam Boyes.
The 18-year-old is highly-rated and although he has refused to name Scunthorpe as the player's destination, York manager Martin Foyle has admitted the deal is poised to go through.
"I don't want to name the club because deals can always fall through, but this one looks like it will go ahead," he told the York Evening Press. "It's just a matter of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
"The chairman has done the deal and it's a good one for York City Football Club and a good one for the player."
