Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon will spend next season on loan at Sporting Braga, both clubs have confirmed.
Possebon, who moved to Old Trafford from Brazilian club Internacional in January 2008, has made only eight appearances for the Barclays Premier League champions following his debut against Newcastle on the opening day of last season.
However, the 20-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in the league - and United were known to be keen to keep hold of the Brazilian - who holds an Italian passport - but farm him out for first-team experience.
"This stadium is beautiful," Possebon told Portuguese club Braga's website, www.scbraga.pt.
"I've never seen anything like it.
"I hope to have a great season and help the club.
"I am very enthusiastic about the ambitious project they have showed me. I never had any doubt about accepting this offer."

brian you are a numpty, saf knows what he is doing, owen 2 games 2 goals not bad for a freebee, mascheda willl learn a lot from him, man u will keep rolling on, before anymore stupid comments from pool supporters. tell us again about your pre season
Although it pains me to say it, now that Man U have signed Owen, SAF really has lost the plot completely. We are now lumbered with another expensive midget who also comes with a bag load of sick notes. United is already short of players who possess athletic and physical presence and the signing of Owen is a serious retrograde step. It smacks of desperation. And since Owen was out of contract, it causes me to wonder whether United ever had any intention of spending very much of the £80 million they received for Ronaldo. I am betting that Ferguson will retire at the end of next season when the Club is at a low.
Owen Hargreave (sorry for spelling it wrong) is not set to return yet. Why give out another midfielder?
With the possible signing of Owen and now sending Possebon out on loan when it is as plain as the dangly bits on a dog that United are short of midfielders, I am now convinced that Ferguson has lost the plot. God help us next season!
I agree with this loan since I'm not convinced he warrants first team action just yet. And if we're keeping him only for reserve team games / carling cup appearances, he's better off getting first team exp at Braga.
United have quite a few CMs, and this guy is a far cry from being picked ahead of Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves (if and when fit), Anderson, Fletcher.. or even Gibson who looks like he'll get a go this season.
IMO Utd. should be giving Possebon his chances at Old Trafford. Whats the use of signing all these youngsters if you are not prepared to give them chances? Sending them out to far weaker leagues won't do anything for them but make them wanna leave if they do well and not really prepare them for life in the Prem. As for Owen coming to Utd., what does his game bring to the team? even though there getting him on a free, he is a worse risk being so injury prone than gambling on the youth of the team.
