Defender Leam Richardson has become the fifth player to sign a new contract at Accrington on Friday.

The 29-year-old full-back has penned a one-year deal and follows Michael Symes, Andy Procter, Robert Grant and Peter Murphy in agreeing new deals at the club ahead of Sunday's trip to Colchester for a pre-season boot camp.

Richardson, who signed for the club in 2005, has made over 130 appearances for the club, although his contribution was restricted to just 18 last season due to injuries.
