David Wheater is concentrating only on the task of getting Middlesbrough back into the Barclays Premier League after committing himself to the fight for promotion.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a series of clubs - Liverpool, Aston Villa and Birmingham in particular - since the Teessiders slipped into the Coca-Cola Championship.
However, he was swift to insist he was staying at the Riverside Stadium, and he knows what the focus must be as his team-mates prepare to return to training on Monday.
He told the club's official website: "Nobody likes being relegated, but you have to get on with it. We just have to concentrate on trying to go straight back up again.
"If we keep as many players as we can, I think we have a great chance of doing it. We know that it's a tough league, but we have players who can handle it."
Meanwhile, out-of-contract keeper Ross Turnbull has completed his switch to Chelsea and has penned a four-year deal.

Nice one Mr Wheater. No-one else I would rather see in the team, the lad has the strength to cope with Championship football all day long.
Great player, many preier teams would love to have him, and anyone whos says different is lying.
Even friends who hate the Boro say hes a class act.
im glad he is staying, and we will have the last laugh when we go back up with a stronger squad, and beat teams with our want aways in their squads.
up the Boro
Class act!
