Ben May and Gary Hooper could be injury concerns for Scunthorpe's opening game of the season against Leeds if they cannot recover in time.The pair were substituted during the Iron's friendly win against neighbours Lincoln at Glanford Park on Saturday.

"Ben May felt his ankle in the warm-up. We gave him five minutes but for me he clearly wasn't right so we took him off," manager Nigel Adkins told the club's official website.

"He has got bruising around his Achilles area and Gary Hooper took a kick on his knee so we took him off too.

"We will just have to see how they respond to treatment during the course of the week."
