Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood revealed he nearly started with two-goal Robert Earnshaw on the bench in the win over Notts County.Earnshaw, a £2.25million signing from Derby, scored his first goals for Forest in a 3-2 victory. Julian Bennett was also on target for Calderwood's side.
The Forest manager said: "I was toying with the idea of not starting with Robert, just giving him a rest, but when I talked to him he made it clear that he wanted to play.
"He took his goals really well, looked sharp and full of confidence. Robert has brought so much more to the club than we expected - his attitude is spot-on and he gives so much to the younger members of our squad."
