Birmingham manager Alex McLeish is expecting 16-year-old Jordan Mutch to break into the first team at St Andrews this season.McLeish was full of praise for the Blues teenager after seeing his side held 1-1 against Fulham in their final pre-season friendly at St Andrews.

McLeish said: "Jordon is only 16, 17 in December, and for him to be breaking into the team at that age says a lot for the kid.

"He's going to be a big player and of that I'm quite sure. I'm sure he can break through this season."

Seb Larsson ensured McLeish's side remained unbeaten during the summer with the equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Fulham at St Andrews on Saturday after Simon Davies had given the visitors an early lead.
