Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles looks set to miss the start of the season after damaging knee ligaments in the loss to ADO Den Haag.Coles had to be substituted inside the opening 10 minutes of the pre-season match against the Dutch side and is expected to be out for around two weeks.
Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope told the club's official website: "Danny opened up his medial ligament a bit.
"He went to pass the ball and a block tackle came in from nowhere and his body wasn't ready or set for it. It is not too bad and he is likely to be out for a couple of weeks."
Rovers begin their League One campaign at home to Carlisle on August 9.
