Defender Jonathan Woodgate believes Tottenham team-mate Darren Bent will make a major impact on the Premier League this season.

Striker Bent has scored nine goals in four friendly matches so far, with Spurs coming up against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday evening.

Woodgate told the club's official website: "He has been fantastic. Benty will score goals when he plays, and I'm sure he will continue to do so in the Premier League.

"He is a hungry player, it was clear from when I came to the club in January, and I believe he will do really well this season."
