Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell is confident he has enough quality in his squad to cope with the loss of star full-back Kyle Naughton.
The 20-year-old moved to Tottenham along with fellow defender Kyle Walker, who has now returned to Bramall Lane on a season-long loan deal.
While Blackwell did not want to sell two of his brightest prospects, he believes his summer recruitment will help the team cope.
He told Sky Sports News: "Losing good players is always difficult and any manager will tell you not only do you want to keep your best players, you want to add to it so it was a blow to lose them. But I get Kyle Walker back for another year, so that's terrific.
"We've brought some good players in as well. Ched Evans is a very good signing along with (Lee) Williamson and (Kyel) Reid, Glen Little and people like these who are proven at Championship level and just add to the quality of the squad overall."

just read that henderson is injured and evans is not fit so that just leaves billy(couldnt hit a barn door with a hand full of stones) sharp cant see us getting anything at middlesbro hope they prove me wrong anyway UP THE BLADES COME ON YOU RED AND WHITE WIZARDS ...........
'Proven at championship level' that's the problem for me!!. Where are the signings 'Proven at Premiership level'?. The players to take us forward!!??. Am i the only Blades fan who thinks Evans was over-priced (looking at his playing record so far!), £3million at his age suggests he's in the James Beattie 'class'!!. I do hope he and the other new signings prove me wrong!. While i'm excited at the thought of the oncoming season, Idid buy my season ticket for The Lane with a slight sense of apathy as to our prospects for the forthcoming campaign!!. PLEASE!, prove me wrong United!!!.
