FORMULA 1 2008 Brazilian GP Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) - 0

Lewis Hamilton became the youngest man to win the Formula One drivers' World Championship in a sensational finish at Interlagos on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Englishman, needing a top-five finish to be champion, seized fifth place again for McLaren Mercedes after losing it on the final lap of a tense, dramatic and rain-hit Brazilian Grand Prix won by his title rival and local hero Felipe Massa of Ferrari.

As Massa triumphed and then celebrated, briefly, Hamilton caught and passed German Timo Glock of Toyota to turn his day from despair to joy after earlier appearing to have controlled his own race.

  2. All the other drivers hate Lewis and there's no way in hell Glock, a German for that matter, would let Lewis Hamilton, a Brit, win! Lewis was smart enough not to get involved in the fight for the top four. He drove so well! Congrats to Lewis for being so cool under pressure!

  3. Glock took a gamble, he was in 7th when the rain started. He stayed out and gained a place to 6th. His Gamble paid off. If he had pitted he probably would have ended up 7th and still behind Lewis. SO well done to Lewis and Maclaren. They got it right. no Conspiracy or cheating or anything.

  4. Congratulations to Lewis and his family you certainly deserved the win you had yesterday. Not only because you have showed great strength of character and a willingness to learn from mistakes, but because of all added pressure you have been put under from the press and small minded people who after trying all other ways to undermind you and knock you confidence, they hit rock bottom and started on your skin colour and race. I stand by this if you can sink that low your comments are worthless and not worth reading. Lewis i hope next year you race as well as you did this year and continue to improve so that at next years final i dont end up nearly having a heart attack due to the stress. Hekki you ran a very good race yesterday you did what was needed when it was needed, All hats off to you this year we have not seen the best of you and i look forward to seeing you back again next year,
    I for one have enjoyed this years F1 races both the highs and the lows i cant wait to do it all again next year.

  8. Well done Lewis , justice is done , after the FIA stole your Spa victory from you , awarded Massa an extra place later and the "race Stewards" all suffered a fit of collective blindness over Massa's illegal passing move over Webber. You did it , against all odds.

  14. Fantastic LH, but you nearly blew it thank him up there for keeping Glock on the wrong tyres. Next year just win everything, that will keep the RED car fans quiet. Not sure what can be done about the poison dwarf of the Blue max though because they will still be trying to screw LH one way or another by fixing the stewards/rules.

  16. There was no controversy, no questions to be answered...............Glock was on dry tyers! The best man won...hence the title of Champion. He got the points, he had the skill and race wins to match that throughout the season. He raced for his life yesterday and kept us all on the edge of our seats. Congratulation Lewis Hamilton and to the team, you deserve this, no one can take it away or truly have any doubts of that! Oh and the lack of sportsmanship goes to the crowd in Brazil, well done!! Here's to the next season.......Lewis you have brought back the excitement to F1 for me and thank you whole heartedly for that!

  17. First Corner/ Second Corner.
    Why is nobody speaking about the first/second corner incident . No drive thro. No inquire. Not a word. Not surprising all the F1 stewards were watching Lewis Hamilton willing and ready to dock another point or two.
    I feel that if a certain other make of car had been involved someone would have been penalised. But NO it's was just DC. that was taken out.
