Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel combined to win Germany's third consecutive Race of Nations Cup at the Race of Champions event in Beijing.
The pair lost just two of their 12 races throughout the event, beating the British team of F1 world champion Jenson Button and WTCC driver Andy Priaulx on a tie-break in the final at the Bird's Nest Stadium.
Schumacher had beaten Button in the opening race in the Race of Champions cars, but Priaulx levelled things up in the WRC cars after Vettel span during their race. Priaulx and Schumacher then went head-to-head in a decider back in the Race of Champions cars, which the German won by just over a second.
"We had a nice fight," said seven-times F1 champion Schumacher. "This is an event we all enjoy."
The individual Race of Champions event takes place on Wednesday, and is broadcast LIVE on British Eurosport.

Logic result! The best F1 driver ever with the best F1 driver at the moment! I'm curious to see them race eachother in the Champions Race...
Why on earth is this being held in Beijing, how many Chinese drivers were there? Bring it back to Wembley so that i can go and watch it live again.
Damn, beaten by the German's on penalties again
Recently, I found an age-gap site called ~~~ Agegapmingle--C O M ~~~ It's a nice and free place for Younger Women and Older Men, or Older Women and Younger Men, to interact with each other. Age gap is not problem there. You may check out or tell your friends.
Still de Best, Go Schumi
Micheal please come back to F1 so you can once again slap Button around in the big car series!
Count Louis Zborowski,
Obviously some people care, even if you don't care.
jemyhardy1111,
Come on, the stress induced by ROC cars is not as stressful as F1 cars. Furthermore, ROC cars don't run grand prix distance, which is another stressing point. The point was he thought he had recovered sufficiently so he wanted to make a come back, it was later discovered he wasn't. If you want to have a conspiracy theory, let it be, if you are happy.
Long live the king
Who cares?
pain in the arse more like. we all wanted too see schumi race in f1 again, pain in the neck was the only plusable get out they could come up with, how many gzz would he have pulled if he crashed . remember he was the one who went skiing after breaking his leg rather than loock after his loyal fans.
he won along with Vettel.
Neck pain? Thisis nothing compared to the g forces of an F1 car...
