Werder Bremen striker Aaron Hunt has admitted he is flattered by reported interest from England coach Fabio Capello, but says he is focused on representing Germany.
A report in the Daily Mail on Monday set tongues wagging in England and Germany, as it claimed Hunt had come on Capello's radar with starring displays for Werder.
Hunt has represented Germany at all youth levels, but has yet to play for the full side and the Mail made the claim that Capello was looking to lure him to England.
The forward is delighted by the reported interest from Capello, but has made the decision to wait for a call from Germany.
"I am happy if it's true that the England management is monitoring me, I am honoured about this," he told the Guardian. "But I have decided to play for Germany.
"I have grown up in Germany and I have learned my football in Germany. I only want to play for Germany and I am not going to be tempted [to change my mind] either.
"Even if some members of my family would be happier if I played for England, they accept my decision."

This is what i dont understand....
Most english people say that germany has a below par team and have only one world class player in ballack (and the only reason they name ballack is becuase he plays in the premiership).
Now, if germany were so rubbish why would they not have called up aaron hunt. If england is so much better and is filled with world class players (apparently)why do they need to resort to nicking germany's strikers.
OHHHH i know, thats becuase they dont have any world class strikers and are in desperate need. POINT PROVEN!
heskey is the best striker in the premier league. hunt would do a job im an englishman-german-man and watch alot of german football as well as english, the german league is much better i do think he would do the job for the woefull 3lions.
my name is terry from uk can you send me information
#1: Heskey? Davies?? Off the vodka young kid.
