Peterborough youngster Ryan Bennett believes he will not let anybody down if he is given his full debut in Saturday's game with Newcastle.
The 19-year-old defender impressed when he replaced Gaby Zakuani during the second half of the defeat by Barnsley.
Bennett, who joined from Grimsby in a deal which could be worth in excess of £500,000, told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "When I signed the manager [Darren Ferguson] said he'd bought me to play me and it would be great to start some games this season.
"I'm not taking anything for granted though as I have to get used to the team's style of play first.
"I accept the manager might not want to throw me in straight away but I'm confident I won't let anyone down when my chance comes.
"Everyone would love to play at Newcastle and I'm no different. That would be a great place to make my first start but I'll just have to wait and see."

Ashley and Lambias. Thousands of you give your money to these con artists every time the TOON play at S J P. Stop spending money in the club shop, the bars and catering facilities in the ground, and they might just leave sooner because they're not getting anything out of it. ( some of you even buy stuff at Sports Direct. SHAME ON YOU, YOU TRAITORS )
Stay in your seat at half time for every home game in a show of solidarity and support the team, our club - not ASHLEY. He's laughing all of the way to the bank. Look at Ashley and Lambias on M O T D. They're laughing at us. 36 thousand TOON supporters stay in their seats at half time - at every home game - suddenly, it's Ashley and Lambias that look like victims. NOT US ! Get a grip man..
