On-loan forward Lewis Haldane has received permission to play in Port Vale's FA Cup first round tie with Stevenage Borough this weekend.
Haldane has been allowed by parent club Bristol Rovers to remain at the club for the maximum 93 days, and has been told he can play on Saturday - a move that will see the 24-year-old cup-tied for the competition should he return to the Memorial Stadium.
The former Wales Under-21 international had already been given permission to play for Vale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, and appeared in their win against Stockport last month.
