Full-back Dean Holden will be suspended for Shrewsbury's FA Cup fixture with Staines Town on Saturday.
The defender picked up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Notts County, and the Football Association have confirmed that his ban will start immediately.
The one-game suspension will give the former Oldham man a chance to recuperate from a niggling groin injury before he is available again for Shrewsbury's home game against Torquay on October 14.
