Dave Jones admits Cardiff have "a long way to go" after their stoppage-time setback against Nottingham Forest.
A goal in time added on by substitute Lewis McGugan rescued a deserved point for Forest after Jay Bothroyd had given City a 63rd-minute lead.
"We sat too deep and were punished for it," said the Bluebirds boss. "We have four new players at the back and they are learning how to play at this level but we still have a long way to go in terms of being stronger as a unit."
He added: "It was a hard-earned point against a very good side who have good shape and can catch you on a counter-attack."

forest i think are a very solid side and could be the surprise of the championship
Hey Guys,
your comments only show how far city have come! this time last year we were hanging onto sixth spot and very content with it, not once breaking into the top three places, we could not score more than twice in any game, results had to be ground out. It seams that we all want the "Moon on a stick" We are better placed now than we have every been in the last 40 years, so lets get behind the team and yes we did lose a class act in RJ but hell give them a chance look at the positives. The lad Mathews is the find of the championship and still learning his way, we have two wingers that have suddenly become unbeatable, the highest goal-scorer in the country, the most skillful target man outside the premier league, a strong squad which is reflected by our bence these days and the best manager in the championship. So hey lets celebrate all of that and enjoy there are scores of other clubs who would kill to be where we are now!!!!!
I agree with jamie m, gabor in and now!!!! In jan we need a class defender and at least one in centre midfield, full praise to the lads, doing well just keep it up!!! Also, god, if your reading this, please let us put 10(minimum) past the heathen jack cnts on sat!
