Patience needed for N'Guessan

Dany N'Guessan's superb performance against QPR may not be enough to see the forward keep his place in Leicester's starting line-up.

The Frenchman was recalled for last Friday's 2-1 win at Loftus Road after spending the last month on the bench and he responded brilliantly giving Rangers full-back Peter Ramage a torrid time with his power and pace.

N'Guessan provided the cross for Matty Fryatt's first goal that levelled the score at 1-1.

Boss Nigel Pearson believes N'Guessan has the ability to change games but it seems likely the summer signing from Lincoln will have to make do with his role as a bit-part player for the foreseeable future.

"Dany did well at QPR but you have got to remember he has taken a big step up from League Two and he will be used when we think it is appropriate," said Pearson.

"It's a jump in level for him but you can see he is a player who has the ability to influence games and I thought he was excellent. It was another ticked box."
