Aston Villa full-back Stephen Warnock is set to have his yellow card from Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Everton rescinded after referee Lee Probert accepted he mistakenly booked the wrong player.
Warnock was cautioned following a challenge from Stiliyan Petrov, who is now set to receive a delayed booking following Probert`s admission.
Villa boss Martin O`Neill said: "The referee has accepted that he got the identification wrong so Stephen Warnock will get the card rescinded.
"If it is mistaken identity sometimes it gets handed on and I assume it will go on to Stiliyan. Tough luck Stiliyan!"

yeah i agree that refs useless billy wasn't even on the pitch when probert claimed he fouled petrov he was having a haircut in between corner kick..tell yer petrov chucked himself to the ground just as billy was coming back on,,,,,probert needs glasses
