Walsall will wait on the fitness of young striker David McDermott before their match with Nottingham Forest in League One on Tuesday night.McDermott hobbled out of a 5-2 reserve victory over Bradford and missed the FA Cup draw with Northampton at the weekend.

Ishmel Demontagnac may be relegated to the bench in place of Alex Nicholls, who replaced him against Northampton.

Demontagnac made a rare start after scoring from the bench in the previous game but may have to settle for a place among the substitutes.

Michael Dobson and Paul Boertien are both long-term absentees with their respective knee injuries. Neither is expected to be back in contention before the New Year.
