Paul Sturrock could hand Mat Doumbe a starting spot in Plymouth's line-up for the FA Cup clash with Hull.Hungarian defender Krisztian Timar is struggling with a hamstring problem suffered in the recent defeat at Cardiff and Doumbe is ready to deputise.
Boss Paul Sturrock indicated Timar is not the only concern for the game.
He told the club's official website: "We've got a couple of niggling injuries that will affect the team. Timar is going to need a very late fitness test and there is one other struggling as well.
"He (Timar) has pulled some fibres in his hamstring and this game might come too quickly. What I will not do is risk putting him out for six weeks and it could give Mat the chance to come in and stake his claim.
"There are a couple of players I haven't yet seen properly and this might be an ideal opportunity, but it will not be to the detriment of the game."
