Grimsby boss Alan Buckley is expected to name and unchanged starting XI for the Mariners' trip to Saltergate against Chesterfield.That means that fit-again Justin Whittle and fellow centre-half Nick Fenton will both be on the bench at Saltergate.

Town followed up their 1-0 win over local rivals Lincoln with a 2-0 triumph at Chester on New Year's Day.

Ciaran Toner missed both of those games with a hamstring injury and the midfielder will be Buckley's only absentee once more.

Town will not be facing former striker Jack Lester as Chesterfield's 17-goal top scorer is suspended.

Lester, who started his career with the Mariners, collected his fifth yellow card of the season during the Spireites' 2-0 win at Barnet last week and must serve a one-match ban.
