Skipper back in contention for Us

Fri 04 Jan, 02:00 PM

Colchester skipper Karl Duguid is likely to return for the FA Cup third round clash at home to Peterborough. The versatile defender missed Tuesday's morale-boosting win at Charlton due to a heavy cold, but he has resumed training and should be involved.

Striker Kevin Lisbie, the Us' two-goal hero at the Valley against his former club, is feeling a slight calf strain but is expected to be fit.

Winger Kevin McLeod was withdrawn at half-time as he was feeling the effects of a virus, but he is also available although his replacement, Kem Izzet, came through 45 minutes unscathed following a hand injury and will hope to start.

Midfielder Kevin Watson (calf) and goalkeeper Aidan Davison (shoulder) are still missing.

Boss Geraint Williams will be hoping to end his League Two hoodoo, having been lost every cup game to a team from the bottom division since he took over.
