Striker Lee out for County

Fri 04 Jan, 04:00 PM

Notts County manager Ian McParland will definitely be without striker Jason Lee as they welcome Stockport to Meadow Lane on Saturday.Lee has suffered complications arising from a broken arm suffered earlier in the season and has now had to have a metal plate inserted into the arm and is expected to be sidelined for around 10 days.

His absence will not affect County if McParland wishes to name an unchanged side, as Lee has only been used from the bench in recent games.

Hector Sam and Lawrie Dudfield are currently the preferred pairing in attack, with Spencer Weir-Daley another option if needed.

Guy Branston could make his debut in defence after signing a month-long deal following his departure from Peterborough.

Mike Edwards (broken leg and ankle) and Jay Smith (groin) are expected back this month but will need a series of reserve matches to ease them back into the fray.
