Hartlepool boss Danny Wilson has admitted to having "a long list of potential targets" as he bids to bolster his squad in the January window.Wilson feels the Pools squad is in need of strengthening but admits he may face financial difficulties in attracting the right players to Victoria Park.

"We've compiled a long list of potential targets and this is the time we act upon all the hard work done by our scouts and contacts we know in the game," Wilson told the club's official website.

"We're obviously hoping that one of them comes off but you never know whether you can attract certain players or whether you can afford them - but that does not stop us having a list.

"We're always looking to strengthen the squad here and that's whether we're winning 20 games in a row or we're not."
