Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder has completed the signing of two Premier League players.
Midfielder Matthew Pattison (pictured) has joined the Canaries on a permanent basis following his successful spell on loan from Newcastle, while Chelsea teenager Ryan Bertrand has joined until the end of the season.
South Africa-born Pattison, 21, has become popular with the fans at Carrow Road during his ten appearances in the heart of the Norwich midfield since he arrived in November 2007.
Left back Bertrand, 18, has already spent time on loan at Bournemouth and Oldham Athletic, and has broken into the England under-18 side.
Roeder told the club's official website: "We have been following Ryan at Oldham and we've been very impressed.
"We believe he can step up to the Championship and pick up as many points as we can."
Bertrand added: "I'm really looking forward to playing for such a big club as Norwich City.
"I knew Norwich had been looking at me over the last month or so and once I heard they wanted me having only come back from my loan at Oldham yesterday, then I was straight up here.
"It's brilliant to get a chance to play here and I see it as the next stage of my career."
