Chester will seek talks with free agent Kevin Cooper after he left Championship outfit Cardiff by mutual consent.Having played under Dave Jones at Stockport, Wolverhampton and then the Bluebirds the Derby-born winger is now able to seek a new club despite the transfer window being closed.

A statement on Chester's website read: "City are looking to bring in former Cardiff City midfielder Kevin Cooper and will seek talks with him today (Monday)."
