Mon 04 Feb, 03:32 PM

On-loan Liverpool defender James Smith is in line to return to the Stockport squad that takes on struggling Bury on Tuesday night.Smith could make his first appearance since coming off with an ankle problem in the January clash with Grimsby.

Stockport have agreed to bring Chester's Kevin Ellison back for a second spell at Edgeley Park but the striker cannot play until the loan window opens on Friday and must serve a three-match ban in any case.

Adam Proudlock and Liam Dickinson are favourites to form the forward partnership with the departure of Anthony Elding to Leeds.

Greg Tansey and goalscorer Liam McSweeney should retain their places in the heart of the midfield.

Vice-captain Gareth Owen (groin) and Paul Turnbull (hamstring) are struggling and are likely to miss out.
