Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson admits that he is in the dark regarding the transfer of Benjani Mwaruwari. The Portsmouth striker's possible move to City has been surrounded in controversy after a last-minute transfer deadline day switch stalled.
Premier League officials are now investigating the paperwork regarding Benjani's move to decide whether the transfer can go ahead.
City are believed to be set to demand the deal be renegotiated, if the Premier League give the all-clear, which could see the £7.6million transfer fee slashed.
However, City manager Eriksson insists he remains uncertain regarding the situation.
"I really don't know any more about the Benjani situation than I did a couple of days ago," Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News.
"What I do know is that I hope he will be our player and I hope everything will be resolved today or Tuesday."
