Colchester new boy Dean Hammond admits the chance to work under Us boss Geraint Williams was a major factor in his decision to join the club.Hammond, who was suspended at the weekend, is in line for his debut against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday after completing a £250,000 deadline-day move from Brighton.
"I am very impressed with him - he seems a good footballing man, honest and fair and I don't think you can ask any more of a manager. I'm looking forward to playing for him," said the midfielder.
"I have watched some of Colchester's games and they do like to play football. The manager said he likes to get it down, that's a big part of his football style and that's my game, so it looks like it will be an enjoyable time for me.
"From people I have spoken to he is well regarded in the game, and I also spoke to a couple of the lads I know in the squad and they spoke very highly of Colchester United."
