Blackburn defender Andre Ooijer has been pulled out of Holland's friendly against Croatia on Wednesday.AZ Alkmaar's David Mendes da Silva has been called into the squad in place of Ooijer, who left the training camp in Noordwijk with the medical staff declaring him not fit enough for the match in Split.

The nature of his injury is unclear and he played a full 90 minutes for his club against Everton in the Premier League at the weekend.

Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf and FC Twente midfielder Orlando Engelaar have also pulled out of Marco van Basten's squad through injury since the weekend.
