Mark Randall was convinced that Burnley were the perfect vehicle for his career after their FA Cup performance against Arsenal last month. The Clarets were beaten 2-0, but the Gunners' management were impressed enough with Burnley's approach to secure the 18-year-old starlet a loan spell with the Championship club until the end of the season.
"Burnley gave us a good game and showed they are a good team," Randall told Burnley's official website.
"I think that's why Arsenal recommended I came to Burnley as they play a similar style of football. They like to get the ball down and play.
"I definitely wanted to come out on loan because playing too much in the reserves is not good, especially in the English league. I don't think the reserve set-up is strong enough for the players."
The midfielder made his Clarets debut as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat at West Brom and also played for Arsenal's youngsters against Burnley in the FA Youth Cup.
