Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson has appointed Scott Sellars as the club's new assistant manager.Sellars has been released from his role as a coach at Sheffield United's academy to undertake the position vacated by Alan Knill, who left Saltergate after 11 months in the job to become the manager of League Two rivals Bury.
"I have known Scott for many years as we played together at Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town," said Richardson.
"We completed our coaching qualifications together so I am delighted that he is joining us."
Sellars added: "I am honoured to get this chance to move my career forward with Chesterfield and am really looking forward to getting stuck in straight away."
