Recent Euroleague champions CSKA Moscow were drawn into the most difficult Top 16 group along with Unicaja Malaga, Barcelona and Lottomatica Roma.
The Russian champions, winners of the Euroleague trophy in 2006 and runners-up in 2007, are forced to play perennial final four contenders Barca.
Also in the GOD are another Spanish powerhouse in last season's fourth-place finishers Unicaja Malaga.
Rounding out Group G are Lottomatica Roma, making their second successive Top 16 appearance.
Holders Panathinaikos were dealt a relatively easy draw against current Serie A leaders Montepaschi Siena, Turkish side Efes Pilsen and Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade.
