League Two - Round-up: Dons eight clear with thrashing

Mark Wright hit a hat-trick to help Paul Ince's League Two leaders MK Dons keep their promotion campaign on course with a 5-1 thrashing of Bury at Gigg Lane.

Wright opened the scoring in the 10th minute before he found the net again in the 36th and 68th minutes. Lloyd Dyer (23) and Kevin Gallen (81) also scored while Glynn Hurst netted a late consolation for Bury.

Wrexham boosted their survival hopes with 2-0 win over second-placed Darlington at the Racecourse thanks to a 21st-minute strike from Wales international Steve Evans and Michael Proctor's goal four minutes from time.

Third-placed Rotherham suffered a 1-0 home defeat to fellow promotion rivals Hereford who netted through Gary Hooper in the 40th minute.

Peterborough kept up their promotion charge with a 2-0 win over Rochdale at Spotland thanks to goals from George Boyd (57) and Aaron Mclean (76).

Chesterfield's play-off hopes took a hit after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Chester. John Murphy's 59th-minute equaliser cancelled out Jack Lester's 54th minute opener.

Goals from Leon Knight (13) and Scott McGleish (75) helped Wycombe move into the play-off zone with a 2-0 away win over Accrington.

Mansfield's troubles continue after they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Brentford at Field Mill.

A Nathan Elder own goal in the 15th minute had given the Stags the lead before Kevin O'Connor's 25th minute equaliser.

Alan Connell (56) and Elder (85) at the right end scored either side of Jefferson Louis' 64th minute goal to give the visitors the points.

Bradford recorded a 1-0 win over Macclesfield at Moss Rose. David Brown netted in the 75th minute, while Terry Dunfield missed a chance to equalise for the Silkmen when he saw his 82nd-minute penalty saved by Scott Loach.

Grimsby defender Nick Fenton saw his 61st-minute goal cancel out Richard Butcher's 59th-minute opener to give his side a point at Notts County.
