FOOTBALL 2007-2008 Marseille - Nasri - 0

Nasri was forced off following a challenge from Jerko Leko towards the end of the 3-1 Coupe de France triumph in the Stade Velodrome.

"I left as a precaution," said the 20-year-old playmaker.

His club coach Eric Gerets said of the injury: "It is nothing serious."

Nasri could feature in either Tuesday's 'A' international against DR Congo or for the full French team against Spain on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Elliot Grandin, a recent signing from Caen, said that he was not surprised by his match-winning performance - which he capped with an assist and a spectacular volley.

"I knew I was capable of putting in this kind of performance," he said. "Strangely, the assist did more for me than the goal because it made me feel at home at the start of the match.

"The team played well, which helped things as well. For a first match it is a good omen for the future.

"I hope that the story is going to continue like this - as debuts go, it couldn't hope for better. It is good for my morale."

Grandin played on the right side of midfield, although he usually features in a more attacking role.
