Ligue 1 - Match facts: PSG hope for five in a row

Facts and figures ahead of the weekend's Ligue 1 action, as PSG aim to make it five wins in a row under Carlo Ancelotti.

Ajaccio v Nice

Ajaccio are currently on a run of four consecutive victories in L1, their best ever run in France’s top flight.

Nice have won their last five Ligue 1 encounters against Ajaccio, scoring 11 goals without reply.

Ajaccio have only won one of their last 13 matches against Nice in Ligue 1 (2-0 in May 2003) losing nine times and drawing the other three.

Earlier this season, Nice’s Fabian Monzon scored a brace from the penalty spot against Ajaccio: a feat matched by only one other player this term, PSG’s Nene against Caen.

Eduardo has the best goals-per-game ratio in Ligue 1 this term, having scored twice in as many appearances.

Ajaccio are above the relegation zone for the first time since matchday six.

Ajaccio have collected the joint-most red cards in L1 this season (six alongside Nice).

Bordeaux v Toulouse

Toulouse have won their last three L1 encounters with Bordeaux, their best run against the Girondins since the 1950s (four consecutive victories between September 1955 and April 1960).

Bordeaux are unbeaten in their last 10 home games in L1, six draws in a row followed by four consecutive victories.

None of the last 12 Garonne derbies have ended in a draw, with Toulouse winning five and Bordeaux seven.

Since the club’s foundation in 1970, Toulouse FC have only won three of their 22 trips to Bordeaux, losing 14 and drawing five.

Three of Etienne Capoue’s six goals in L1 have been against Bordeaux.

Dijon v Valenciennes

Valenciennes have lost both of their two L1 matches away to promoted teams this season.

There has never been away victory in 10 competitive matches between these teams.

Considering away matches only, Valenciennes are bottom of the league this season.

Valenciennes have a record of one draw and four defeats away to Dijon in all competitions.

Valenciennes have not won a single one of their last 14 away matches in L1, registering four draws and 10 defeats.

Dijon have lost 10 of the 11 L1 matches in which they have conceded the first goal (91%) which is the highest ratio in the top flight this season.

The three L1 encounters between Montpellier and Brest since last season have all ended as draws. Six of the last seven Ligue 1 matches between these teams have been drawn.

Montpellier have won all four of their competitive matches in 2012, without conceding a single goal in the process.

Montpellier have won a league-high 80% of their home matches this season (eight out of ten).

Brest have not won any of their away matches in L1 this season and have only registered one win in their last 23 fixtures on the road (1-0 v Auxerre in May 2011).

Brest are the least prolific team away from home in L1 this season, scoring only four goals.

PSG are the only away team to have kept a clean sheet at Montpellier’s La Mosson stadium in L1 this season.

The encounter between these teams earlier this season witnessed 48 fouls, the second highest total in a Ligue 1 match this season.

Olivier Giroud has netted six more goals than any other player this season in Ligue 1, which is the biggest gap at this stage of a campaign since 1984/85.

Nancy v Rennes

Rennes are unbeaten in their last five away games at Nancy’s Marcel-Picot stadium in L1, emerging with three wins and two draws.

Nancy have only managed two wins at home in L1 this season, fewer than any other side.

Rennes have not drawn any of their last 16 away games in the league, currently the longest such sequence in L1.

18 goals have been scored in the last five L1 matches played at the Marcel-Picot stadium.

Auxerre are the only away team to have emerged with a clean sheet from Nancy’s Marcel-Picot stadium in L1 this season.

Nancy and Rennes are the only teams with more wins on the road than at home in L1 this season.

A league-high 60% of the goals Rennes have conceded this season have been in the first half of games (15 out of 25).

Daniel Niculae has scored five goals in his last eight L1 starts.

Paris SG v Evian TG

PSG have won all of their four competitive matches under Carlo Ancelotti.

Evian TG are unbeaten against the current top three teams in L1 this season, having beaten Montpellier and drawn with PSG and Lille.

ETG are currently on a run of four consecutive away defeats in L1, only Auxerre are currently on a worse run.

Since their return to L1 last season, Caen are unbeaten in their three encounters with Auxerre, registering one win and two draws.

Auxerre have not scored a single goal in their last three trips to Caen in L1.

Auxerre have yet to record an away win this season in L1 and are currently on a five-game losing streak on the road.

Caen have not won any of their last 10 matches (all competitions) registering eight defeats and two draws.

Laurent Fournier has the lowest points-per-game ratio amongst all Auxerre managers in Ligue 1 history (0.9).

Caen have the worst home record in L1 this season, collecting 10 points from 10 home games.

Auxerre have already suffered more league defeats in 2011/12 (10) than over the whole of last season (nine).

Sochaux v Lille

Lille have only won one of their last 34 trips to Sochaux in L1.

Marseille were bottom of the league following their first encounter against Lyon this season, since then, only PSG have picked up more points than them.

Lyon have lost six of their last eight away games in Ligue 1.

Marseille have only kept one clean sheet in their last 20 L1 matches against Lyon.

Marseille’s last eight goals against Lyon in L1 have all been scored in the second half of matches.

Lyon have never won away to a team managed by Didier Deschamps in L1, registering two draws and four defeats.

Lisandro has scored four goals in as many appearances against Marseille in L1.
