Tue 04 Mar, 06:30 PM

MK Dons boss Paul Ince has saluted his team by claiming "four or five" of his players could have won the League Two Player of the Year award.Dons skipper Keith Andrews scooped the accolade at the Football League's awards dinner and Ince insists the midfielder can lead the club to a higher level.

Ince told the club's official website: "I found out on Sunday and I texted Keith straight away to tell him how proud of him I was. He's been absolutely fantastic this year."

The Dons boss added: "I'm not being over the top when I say other players in my team could have won it.

"Dean Lewington, Willy Gueret - there's about four or five of my players that could have won that award, but I'm just glad it was one of them.

"It's great for Keith, he thoroughly deserves it, but now I've said to him we've got other fish to fry and hopefully we can do that."
