Tue 04 Mar, 04:00 PM

Peterborough goalkeeper Joe Lewis has been named as the League Two Powerade Player of the Month for February after keeping five clean sheets.Lewis helped Posh earn 16 points from a possible 18 with five clean sheets from six games, helping them stay firmly in the promotion hunt.

Also short-listed for the February award in League Two were Ben Strevens of Dagenham and Redbridge, loanee Gary Hooper of Hereford and MK Dons' Mark Wright.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Joe is one of the most talked-about goalkeepers in the business at the moment.

"Since his move from Norwich City in January, he has been in excellent form and his record of conceding only one goal in seven league games speaks for itself.

"He is an outstanding prospect for both his club and country and I would be very surprised if he doesn't feature in the England U21 squad later this year."
